1. LOT and LOTS of CoKE
2. Midrin - It's awesome
3. Wood blinds that make the room dark even when it's not dark outside
4. Chocolate chip cookies - They make everything better
5. Quiet time - thanks to my family for letting me have some - on occasion!

Lunch with A Great Friend

My friend Kirsten, who lives in Arizona, surprised me this morning with a text messaging saying she was in town. Luckily I was able to make my day work so I could go to lunch. It was great spending time with her and 2 of her sisters. I've always thought of her as family, and crazy as life is, now she is - sort of. Her step aunt is married to my dad, so I guess that makes us step-cousins. Not that that matters, because like I said before, she's always been "family" to me. I have known Kirsten since birth and even though the years have taken us in different directions and places she has always been one of my dearest friends, and there when I've needed her. Love ya Kirsten!

That leads me right into a few of my favorite things:
1. Great friends
2. Kassy, who is willing to babysit when I need her to
3. My cell phone
4. Text messaging
5. $5 pizzas from Little Ceasers

East/West Split

Before I get started on my East/West Split, here are a few of my favorite things:
1. A good book to read to take me to another place
2. Target - by the way, the Target on Redwood Road and 67 ish South is "MY TARGET"
3. Hugs
4. Sleeping in
5. Fuzzy sox

Like most parents, I have followed the division of the school districts. I was terribly disappointed when the division took place, realizing that the West side was going to be hit hard. I was just watching channel 5 news and heard this comment, "The East/West split should have never happened." I'm sure there are many of us who agree with this statement, and a few who don't. Having spent my entire growing up years on the East side, I often consider myself an East side snob - it's the truth, I admit it. However, I am saddened by the split, and the hit the West side seems to be taking. Even if I was still living on the East side, I would see the inequality of what is happening. We need equality for all students regardless of where they live. I truly hope that something can be done to change what is going on and bring equality to both sides of the valley.

Like many students, Kassy was faced with the decision of walking out of class today. She choose to stay in class, not because she doesn't support the reason for the walk out, because she does. She chose to do what she felt was best for her. I am proud of you Kassy. She realizes what the split and lack of funds means for her future education, less money, fewer teachers who make less money, larger class sizes, cutting of extra curricular activities, and many other losses.

It is my hope that this problem will be remedied and that equality will be brought to the Jordan school district. Equal funding for the East and West side, is that asking for to much? I think not!

Shout out to the River 4th Ward YW Soccer Team - Winners of the Gold Medal! HAHAHA I have Olympics on the brain.

Qualities - Good -n- Bad / Shout Out to Jamie

Tonight as I was getting kids to bed I couldn't help but look at them and have a couple of words come to my mind. Some of them nice, and others uhmmm....not as nice. None the less, I love my family for their good qualities as well as their "not so good", and I am thankful that they put up with me.

Dave: Strong, powerful, provider, protector, stresser, indecisive, procrastinator.
Karey: Patient, concerned, peace maker, happy, disorganized, control freak, impatient.
Kassy: Helpful, sweet, smart, compassionate, cluttery, opinionated, pre-teen with attitude.
Jessy: Loving, friendly, generous, independent, messy, grumpy, moody.
Cody: Affectionate, caring, willing, thoughtful, short fussed, sweaty, tattletale.
Kalea: Teachable, goofy, loveable, misunderstood, slobbery, stinky, disobedinet.

Quick shout out to Jamie - Lady, you rock!!!! Thanks for helping Dave with his math, he could have NEVER done it without your help. Could be an interesting 9 weeks!

Inspired by Others

I hadn't planned on blogging yet today, but when I turned on the computer to do some things for activity day girls, I automatically typed in my blog. Since it was open I of course had to catch up on every ones blogs. I just want to tell my fellow bloggers how much I love reading your entries.

As I was reading Shandy's blog I felt as if she was taking words right out of my head. I however couldn't put them as eloquently as she did. She wrote about feelings. Because of her inspiration, I am going to right a few of my own. Shandy, I hope you don't mind that I copied your idea.

First, no one can make me "feel" anything. How I feel is up to me.

Happy: I know it's out there it's just not always easy to find. I have to remind myself to find happiness in the little things! Happiness doesn't always come in large doses.

Angry: Do I have anger issues? I'm afraid that some days I do. I really do try to control it, but sometimes I get so ANGRY I have to scream!!!

Sad: I feel sad about a lot of things. I think the most important thing is to not let sadness bring me down into despair because it could - REALLY!

Loneliness: There are days that I am surrounded by people, yet I feel alone. I know that there are many who would do anything for me, thanks. However, sometimes I still feel alone.

Stress: Big, small, I stress about it all. That was a little rhyme - hehe

Feelings, whoa whoa whoa feelings.... So many things to feel!

I was also inspired by LuAnn who is working on a list of her favorite things. Because sometimes I "feel" sad, I thought it might be a great idea to think about happy things. So today I am going to write down a couple of my favorite things. I'm also going to try to add a favorite list to my everyday blogging.

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS:
1. L - O - N - G Hot showers
2. Tulips poking out of the dirt
3. Dishwashers
4. Take Out
5. Eyeliner

Tweeked

This morning at the gym I tweeked my back doing squats, I can hardley move. Lucky for me tonight my favorite shows are on. I'm going to go spend the rest of the evening laying on a heating pad, watching 24 and the Bachelor!

2 A's = Chocolate Cake

I am so proud of Dave for going back to school! At are age that is not an easy thing to do, but he is doing it and might I add he's doing a great job. He ended his session last Sunday and was sure that he wasn't going to do well in either class. Today he pulled his grades and low and behold he got A's in both classed. In honor of his awesome accomplishments, we celebrated with chocolate cake! Way to go Dave, keep up the good work!

Big whop-d-do

It's Saturday - big whop-d-do! I've spent the day grocery shopping, cleaning, picking up dog poop in the backyard, and doing laundry. So much fun - Not!

Quiet Friday

I'm sure that as my kids get older, quiet Friday nights will be the norm. However, I'm not used to it. It's just Dave, Cody, and I. Kassy is babysitting and Jessy is at a friends house. Seems rather strange. Cody talks enough to make up for both of the girls not being here. Seriously, the boy can TALK!

Kalea is recovering from her doggie hysterectomy, she is now an "it". Poor unsuspecting girl, she had no idea what she was in for when I dropped her off at the Humane Society Clinic yesterday - which by the way is the cheapest place to get anything done for your pet. She loves to lay "superman" style on the floor, but it hurts to bad so she has taken to laying on her back, she lays on her back with her rear paws spread eagle and her front paws behind her head. I'll have to post a picture, it is the funniest thing. She just joined me downstairs, she is curled up in a ball by my feet. Poor girl!

Loved watching the men's skating, women's skiing and women's half pipe last night. Lots of medals got passed out. Going to go check out what is going on in the Olympics tonight.

Happy Friday!

I love the Olympics

I have always loved the Olympics, but then who doesn't? Last nights events were amazing to say the least. The women's downhill was beyond belief. I can not believe how fast those women get going on the slopes. My heart was pounding as I watched many competitors get taken down by the monster mountain and insanely dangerous icy conditions. I felt myself tensing up as soon as one of them started their run, and didn't relax until it ended. I was glad that Julia Mancuso was able to hold on to the Silver and that Lindsey Vonn was able to pull out in front for the Gold. Lindsey's emotional interviews, both before and after the race, made me stop and think, what amazing athletes these women are, they truly give up a lot for their sport. Even more amazing to me is to watch them crash at 80 - 90 mph and then get up and walk away. Wow, I think I would just lay their until someone came and got me. Go team USA!

On to the snowboarding competition! Back to back Olympic gold medals for Shaun White. Impressive doesn't even begin to scratch the surface on how I felt about Shaun White's half pipe competition last night. Did you see the amount of air that boy was getting, it was INSANE! I loved when the showed an overlap of his run with one of the other guys, Shaun was easily getting 5 - 6 more feet of air! How would it be to grab the top spot on your first run and then know that your last run you didn't have to do anything because you had already won the Gold . I bet his final run, which by the way was even better than his first, had to have felt great, knowing he could just go out and have fun. I can't forget Scotty Lago, he to had an impressive night. His first run was clean and powerful, however his second run he had a bit of a slip up and he wasn't able to pull out of Bronze position. Still Bronze is a medal, way to go Scotty. The only thing that would have made the night better would have been if Louie Vito would have been able to pull higher scores and made it to the medal stand with his team mates. He had clean runs, but they weren't enough to pull him through and he ended up in a disappointing 5th place. None the less way to go Team USA!

Finally, speed skating. I wasn't able to see much of the speed skating, but I did see Shani Davis take his victory lap around the rink. Another story of back to back Gold's for a USA Olympic athlete, impressive. Chad Hendrick was able to gain the bronze medal. I love it when there are two from the USA on the podium together. There was a lot of qualifying going on, and I'll be excited to see what happens next in the Speed Skating events. Stay tuned for Apollo who as of now is the greatest winter Olympian - he has the most medals won in winter Olympic games, plus he was the winner of Dancing with the stars a few years back.

All in all it was an amazing day for the USA Team. Six medals in one day, three gold, one silver, and two bronze. Cody can't grasp the concept that it is Team USA not Team Utah. He cheers, "go Team Utah", it busts us all up. We have told him over and over again TEAM USA, but it's not getting through. I told him last night that if he wants to call it Team Utah that was fine because most of the skiers and snowboarders, as well as others, call their home somewhere in Utah. Way to go Utah for producing so many amazing Olympic Athletes. Can't wait to see how the rest of the games pan out. Again, Go Team Utah, oops I meant Team USA!

A WOMAN'S WEEK AT THE GYM

My friend Billie sent me this as an email, it's to funny not to share. I think all of us can relate! ENJOY!

A WOMAN'S WEEK AT THE GYM

If you read this without laughing out loud, there is something wrong with you. This is dedicated to everyone who ever attempted to get into a regular workout routine.

Dear Diary,For my birthday this year, my Husband (the dear) purchased a week of personal training at the local health club for me.Although I am still in great shape since being a high school football cheerleader 43 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try. I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer named Christo, who identified himself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swim wear.My husband seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started! The club encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress.

MONDAY:Started my day at 6:00 a.m. Tough to get out of bed, but found it was well worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Christo waiting for me. He is something of a Greek god - with blond hair, dancing eyes and a dazzling white smile. Woo Hoo!! Christo gave me a tour and showed me the machines. I enjoyed watching the skillful way in which he conducted his aerobics class after my workout today. Very inspiring!Christo was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, although my gut was already aching from holding it in the whole time he was around. This is going to be a FANTASTIC week-!!

TUESDAY:I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door. Christo made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air then he put weights on it! My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made the full mile. His rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel GREAT-!! It's a whole new life for me.

WEDNESDAY:The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying the toothbrush on the counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a hernia in both pectorals. Driving was OK as long as I didn't try to steer or stop. I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot. Christo was impatient with me, insisting that my screams bothered other club members. His voice is a little too perky for that early in the morning and when he scolds, he gets this nasally whine that is VERY annoying. My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Christo put me on the stair monster. Why the heck would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity rendered obsolete by elevators? Christo told me it would help me get in shape and enjoy life. He said some other crap too.

THURSDAY:Butthole was waiting for me with his vampire-like teeth exposed as his thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn't help being a half an hour late - it took me that long to tie my shoes. He took me to work out with dumbbells. When he was not looking, I ran and hid in the restroom. He sent some skinny witch to find me.Then, as punishment, he put me on the rowing machine -- which I sank.

FRIDAY:I hate that jerk Christo more than any human being has ever hated any other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic, anorexic little aerobic instructor. If there was a part of my body I could move without unbearable pain, I would beat him with it. Christo wanted me to work on my triceps. I don't have any triceps! And if you don't want dents in the floor, don't hand me the darn barbells or anything that weighs more than a sandwich. The treadmill flung me off and I landed on a health and nutrition teacher. Why couldn't it have been someone softer, like the drama coach or the choir director?

SATURDAY:Satan left a message on my answering machine in his grating, shrilly voice wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing his voice made me want to smash the machine with my planner; however, I lacked the strength to even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of the Weather Channel.

SUNDAY:I'm having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next year my husband will choose a gift for me that is fun -- like a root canal or a hysterectomy. I still say if God had wanted me to bend over, he would have sprinkled the floor with diamonds!!!

Silly

Have you ever noticed how silly the words are that you have to type to have your comment posted on someones blog? Where do these words come from? Something to ponder.

Happy Tuesday!

Presidents Day Fun

The gym @ 5:30am (then I came home and went back to bed - that was the real fun part), Nickel Arcade, lunch at McDonalds, and the movies - The Tooth Fairy! My kids said it was the best day off of school EVER! I think the best part about it was the house stayed clean and the kids didn't fight! YEA!

Dave's fun included snowmobiling and The Tooth Fairy movie. However, the real fun for him was when he pulled up his class schedule, thinking he would start a new class today, and the other 1 next week, only to find out he has a week off! Best Monday News he's had in awhile.

To end the FUN, I am waiting for my shows to be done recording. My DVR is running double time, it's recording 24 and The Bachelor. Good old Jack, saving the day, but more importantly, I can't wait to hear what Alli has to say to Jake. Reviews forthcoming!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hurray, Hurray, it's Valentine's Day! I personally feel that we don't need a specific day to tell the people around us that we love them. We should be telling them we love them everyday! Life is to short to not tell them EVERY DAY!

Sweeter

Thanks to my "sweet" kids, my "sweet" family, and some super "sweet" friends, today is a bit sweeter and my lemonade isn't so sour!

Seriously, thanks for your comments and your support. It's nice to know that people are out there who have my back! I hope that someday when any of you have lemons thrown your way, I can be there to help make it a bit sweeter for you! Thanks again!

Sour Lemonade

You all know the saying, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade". The only problem with that is without sugar the lemonade is still SOUR! Recently I've been thrown a LOT of lemons and I don't have any sugar. Things around here are a bit sour. I could really use some sugar! STUPID LEMONS!

Oops.....I missed a day and my Bachelor review

I can't believe I missed blogging yesterday. The crazy part about it was, I was online reading other blogs, I just didn't bother to write on mine. I was having to much fun reading everyones. I love to read what's going on in your lives, the good and the bad. Thanks for sharing with me.

Bachelor update. I was going to download some pictures, but it wasn't working for me, so all you get is my words. Dang it, I am a visual gal.

I'm going to try to explain how I feel about Jake and his "women" without getting to long winded. WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS HE THINKING, HOW COULD HE LET ALLI SLIP THROUGH HIS FINGERS???? I understand that he has a contract and couldn't tell Alli she was the one, but seriously! I think he should have said or done something more to keep her around. I know that some of you think Alli is a meanie, but it seems to me that she is nice to everyone except Vienna. Truth be, I think I would be a meanie to Vienna as well.

Did you watch the Home Town dates? You have to admit that Alli's family was the nicest and most normal of the bunch. Her mom was so cute, and the trip to her grandma's house made me cry! The only thing that I questioned about her family was when her mom said, "let's go outside and sit by the fire". When they went outside and sat around the candles I had to laugh, it wasn't until the zoomed out that I went, "Ooo, there's the fire". Admit it, you all thought the same thing. When she said to Jake, "I'd say yes right now if you asked me to marry you", I thought, get down on your knee, QUICK! Leave all the others behind!!!! I've liked Alli from the beginning, there was a few instances that I wavered, but for the most part she said what she felt - nice or not. She was the same with Jake and she was with the girls, minus all the kissing - lol. I think Jake should have done everything possible to keep her around, instead he struck the "Bachelor Pose", maybe shed a tear or two and let her drive away..... The Drama!

As for the rest of the ladies. Could they have had any bigger smiles on their faces when they were told there wasn't going to be a rose ceremony. I get that Vienna, and maybe even Gia didn't care that Alli was gone, but Tenley, weren't her and Alli "friends"?! I think Tenley showed her true colors, plus I don't think she is ready for a relationship. She hasn't gotten over her last one, nor has her family. As for Gia, what was up with her kissing Vienna when she walked in to the rose ceremony, and her family especially her mom - CREEPY! Vienna, what can I say about Vienna? I have always disliked Vienna Sausage, and now more then ever. Vienna is just NASTY! I could keep going, but I think you get the idea.

My question for the day is, why do we watch these crazy reality shows? They are pretty dumb, yet every season we tune in for more!

Baptism Pictures

What a great day February 6, 2010 was. Jessy, with a spranged arm, decided to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As her mom, I just want to say how proud I am of her for making such a righteous decision. I know her Heavenly Father was proud of her as well, for choosing to do what is right! I also know that there were many special spirits in attendance that day. Jessy is so lucky to have many guardian angels watching over her. We love you nana, grandma sandy, and all of our other loved ones who have passed on , but continue to play a role in our lives, and join us in spirit at special times such as this.

Ironically Jessy was baptized on my mom's birthday and I am writing this post on the day that marks 13 years since Dave's mom passed away. I feel that it happened this way for a reason. Maybe it was to remind me how truly lucky we are to have these amazing women as examples in our family. I remember my mom saying at Kassy's baptism that, "this would be the last one of my granchildren's baptisms that I attend." She was wrong, I truly felt her spirit as well as the spirits of many others that day! How lucky we are to know that we can be together forever, and to feel of Heavenly Fathers love for us as we experience this amazing moments in our lives.

I am grateful that Dave is a worthy priesthood holder and was able to baptize Jessy. How incredible it was to see the two of them together in the font. They both looked so clean and happy.
I forgot to turn these pictures before I posted them, but you get the idea. Doesn't Jessy look cute. Her white dress was perfect for her, not to frilly. Just simple and beautiful. I've come to the realization that I only have 1 more white dress to provide my girls with. Wow, let's not even go any further with that!
How lucky Jessy was to share the special day with her cousin Riley.
It's a good thing we believe that Baptism is the right thing to do, otherwise no one would get baptized due to the fact that those jumpsuits are so gosh, darn, ugly. Jessy struggled a bit with them, but she made it.

Whew, we made it. Having your son and daughter get baptized is a big deal, plus it is a bit heart wrenching. It's a time of realization. Michele and I are both very aware that our "babies" are growing up. Don't blink, you might miss something.
I've always known that Dave was taller then Brian, but it wasn't until I saw this picture that I realized how much taller. Don't let their height difference fool you. They are both amazing guys! Way to go Dad's, you did a great job.

After the baptism we went to Jessy's favorite restaurant, Chuck-A-Rama. Thanks Riley for letting Jessy pick the restaurant. Our family loves Chuck-A-Rama, but then what's not to love?! We took tons and tons of pictures in front of Chuck-A-Rama, what a beautiful back drop - haha.

We are lucky to have such an amazing family and friend suppport group. I didn't post pictures of everyone, but just know that we appreciated you all being there with us.
Grandpa Roger, Jessy, and Pat
Although they don't always get along, I know that my kids love each other and will always be there for one another. Seriously, aren't they just the cutest?!
I think this quote is a great description of our family, "We might not have it all together, but together we have it all." I truly am blessed with an amazing family.

How blessed Jessy and Riley are to not only have their grandpa's be at their baptisms, but also to have their Great Grandma there as well. Grandma Fagg is truly that "GREAT". Grandpa Mike isn't so bad either - lol!

So here they are, the 2 newest members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Welcome! We are so proud of you both!
Riley Robert Fagg and Jessy Lee Fagg!
Holy Cow, I am going to end this post now. It is getting way to long. I need to write my thoughts about The Bachelor, but I decided that can wait until tomorrow, after I have stewed about it for a little while longer. Seriously, I can't believe he let Alli get away. Wait, wait, that is for tomorrows post.

Still Not Happening

Today I spent the morning cleaning, the afternoon at lunch with a friend, late afternoon picking up kids, and ever since then on the computer working on Dave's financial aid stuff for school. It's now time to fix dinner. No time for posting today, this is as good as it's gonna get.

Tomorrow will be better - lol!

Something Silly: After reading my sister-in-laws blog, and reading that my nephew Zack would prefer Toaster Strudels over home made french toast, I decided to give them a try. The verdict is in, three thumbs down. I was hoping to find something new for my kids for breakfast, apparently Toaster Strudels aren't going to make the cut. Dang It!!

Super Bowl Sunday

The only reason I am on the computer is because Dave is taking a break from Homework to watch the 2nd half of the super bowl. This is the last week of his session, and he has been working on both computers to get things done.

I was hoping to post some pictures and more info on the baptism, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. As for now, Go COLTS! Headed back upstairs to watch the rest of the game, and munch on snacks!

Baptism Day = Perfect Day

It's kind of late, and my pictures aren't downloaded yet. So I'll give a full account of the baptism tomorrow. For tonight I will say just this, It was a PERFECT DAY! Jessy and Riley were glowing, and everything went off without a hitch.

Thanks to everyone who participated, and who supported are family on such a joyous occasion! Check back tomorrow for all the details!

Strawberry Shortcake in the house!

The Bachelor is going to have to wait again, due to the fact that I don't have much time. I'll get to it another day!

Today I went and had my hair cut and colored. I wanted a purplish color on the bottom. Last time I tried it was pretty muted, so Kristen and I stepped it up a bit.....Haha - Understatement. While it was processing we both giggled a bit at the color, I felt a little like the joker. It was super red going on. Once we rinsed it, it went from red to FUCHSIA PINK, then I felt and looked like Strawberry Shortcake - seriously! If any of you saw my pink hair extensions, you know the color that the bottom half of my hair was. Don't get me wrong, I love the color pink, and I loved, LOVED my hair extensions, but wow!!! So after giggling at it for awhile, Kristen worked her magic, and the color turned out awesome. It's a bit wild and crazy, but I love it! Hmmm, Mid-life crisis?! I've always liked doing things a bit different with my hair, I think it's kind of fun! Kristen took a picture of the Strawberry Shortcake hairdo, but it didn't do it justice. I'll have to get one of the Sassy Mahogany hairdo and post it tomorrow. Thanks Kristen, I really do love it!

Tomorrow is the big day, Jessy and her cousin Riley are getting baptized! I can't believe my baby girl is old enough to get baptized. I am so proud of her for making such a righteous decision!

The Dark Divine - Truely DIVINE

I finished my book, and man was it "DIVINE"! I highly recommend you read The Dark Divine by Bree Despain. It kept me intrigued from beginning to end. I can't talk alot about it without giving away to much of the story. What I wrote in my post the other day is about as much as I can say without ruining it.

I was telling my friend Monica about the book, she texted me later in the day to get the name of it and I told her she could borrow mine because I was done. She came right over and got it (got another text from her today, she is hooked). A bunch of ladies in her neighborhood do a book club, they are looking for a book for next months book club. Later in the evening she called me with some super exciting news. It sounds as if The Dark Divine will be the book for their next book club, and one of the ladies knows the author, Bree Despain. They are going to try to get her to come, and I've been invited! I am really excited to meet her and here some of her thoughts and insights on the book.

After talking to Monica I went and checked out Bree's website (breedespain.com), it was super interesting, and I learned she is writing a sequel. Yea, I can't wait to see where life takes Grace, Jude, and aahhh, Daniel. I wasn't disappointed in the way the book ended, but there where unanswered questions that left me wanting more. I am glad that she is going to let these characters continue on and give me another great book to read!

My thoughts on the bachelor can wait until tomorrow. I just had to finish up my review on The Dark Divine. Give me a good book and I can escape to another world for hours....Thanks Bree Despain for taking me there. I invite you all to join me in the mystical, magical, irresisitable world of The Dark Divine. Seriously, if you don't check it out for the inside, check it out for the outside, the cover is so cool looking!

A Day of Reading, and not much more!

I know I said I was going to give an an account on the bachelor today, but I haven't had the time, I've been reading!!!!!! I am a sucker for a good book and The Dark Divine has fit into that category. It will definitely go on my book list. I thought I would be able to put it down and walk away, but I COULDN'T, so I spent the afternoon reading. Yes, I am done with it. However, I didn't neglect all my "duties". Went to the gym, helped out in Cody's class, helped Dave with a homework assignment, did a batch of laundry, got the programs printed for the baptism, and got dinner in the crock pot, all before I sat down to read.

I need to finish getting kids to bed so I will finish my account on The Dark Divine, as well as my Bachelor thoughts, tomorrow.

Pity Party is OVER!

Okay, so yesterdays blog entry was a bit of a pity party for myself, but as is true with all parties they have to come to an end. PARTY OVER!!! Thanks for your comments, I appreciated your comments. I know I really do have alot to be grateful for, a wonderful family, great friends, the gospel, my crazy dog, a warm home, food to eat, good books to read, and the list goes on and on and on.......

Speaking of good books, I started reading The Dark Divine by Bree Despain, she is a writer from Utah. I love the locals! I haven't figured out what kind of mystical, magical, force is going on in the book, but it is definitely keeping me wanting to read more. I told myself that I would only read 1 chapter this afternoon, but at the end of every chapter (okay so I read 4), I thought, "just 1 more". The book is about a pastors daughter named Grace Divine, she is drawn to her brother Jude's, use to be best friend. Daniel and Jude were best friends, until 1 night "something" bad happened, Jude came home covered in his own blood, and Daniel took off. The Divine family never talked about what happened that night. Daniel is back and Jude is not happy to see him, but Grace is drawn to Daniel and wants to know the truth about what happened that night, but at what price? I really should stop blogging so I can go read!! I'll let you know my final verdict once I am done reading.

I have a few things to say about the Bachelor, okay I actually have alot of things to say about the bachelor, but that is going to have to wait until tomorrow when I can give it my undivided attention. I will say this, I really don't like Vienna, but then again I'm not sure I really like Jake, so maybe everyone will get what they deserve, or should I say who?!

Problems

We all have problems in our lives, that is a given. My question to ponder is this: Just because 1 persons problems aren't as "huge" or "life altering" as the next, does that make their problems any less significant? I'm gonna go with no, but am I wrong? I realize that I stress over goofy things sometimes and that what I worry about might not have an impact on anyone but me, but to me, some days those "insignificant" things I stress about seem like "mountains" not "mole hills". I am grateful for the fact that I am generally an optimistic person, but everyonce in awihle I see the world through a half empty cup, even if it is due to something kind of trivial. Pretty deep for a Monday - lol!
